One glance, and his past life was history.

Blurb

Leander Talbot’s life changed forever when his wife died. He is now reluctantly venturing back into society, knowing that, as the Earl of Ockley, he must marry again to produce an heir. But he can’t bring himself to the sticking point. Instead, he spends his time evading the matchmaking mamas of the ton.

The dark and dangerous Duke of Arden is an infamous libertine. It is said that he seduces innocents, and there are even more sinister tales whispered of his predilections. Only the wild young blades who form his retinue know the truth, but he is shunned by all save those wishing to court notoriety.

A chance meeting brings Leander into Arden’s orbit. Ignoring the warnings about Arden’s intentions, Leander is drawn into a seductive world of sexual indulgence. There, he finds the freedom he craves from his overbearing family. By the time he suspects Arden might have ulterior motives, it may be too late to save his reputation—and his heart.

Excerpt

Leander sighed slightly. He had immersed himself in work and duty since Bella’s death, but it was only now he understood how removed from his contemporaries he had become. Most faces here were unfamiliar to him. Take the character in the corner—a dark complexion, his dress rich but careless in a way that proclaimed he cared little for the opinion of society. Leander was certain he had never set eyes on him, though the deference with which his circle of friends was treating him indicated that he was a man of some standing. He took the opportunity to ask the servant who brought him a glass of champagne.

“His Grace the Duke of Arden, my lord,” the man informed him.

The name was one with which Leander was familiar. It was a name with which all of London and some of the more enlightened provinces were familiar. Arden represented all that was decadent in the ton, his philandering ways extending far beyond opera dancers and actresses to ladies of quality. And it was not only widows or liaisons with married ladies, for it was said of him that he had ruined more than one young maiden. The number of duels that he had fought and won, the drunken orgies at which he presided, and his losses and gains at the gaming table had all assumed the proportions of legend. There were still darker things whispered about him. Only the coterie of wild young blades who formed his retinue knew the truth of these, but the intimations were there, and Arden remained unrecognised by all save those wishing to court notoriety.

Leander became aware that Arden was returning his gaze, his heavy-lidded eyes holding what appeared to be a gleam of amusement. As Leander watched, Arden raised his glass in a mocking salute before putting it to his lips and tossing back the contents.

Perhaps it was the champagne, perhaps it was the shock of realising that his acquaintances now viewed him as a prig. Whatever the reason, some demon prompted Leander to his feet. In defiance of all proper behaviour, he crossed the room to Arden and introduced himself.

Those dark eyebrows raised briefly, a noble head was inclined, and one of the young men clustered around Arden was moving from his seat, offering it to Leander.

“So you’re Ockley.” The duke’s aristocratic fingers curved elegantly around the stem of his glass and his dark eyes surveyed Leander as he sat. “I didn’t think this to be your sort of place. I’d thought you more of a White’s man.”

The provocation was there. It was well known that Arden had been pre-emptively blackballed by the respectable club lest any member lose their faculties and propose him for membership.

“Indeed?” Leander said stiffly, his somewhat lamentable temper aroused by Arden’s dismissal of him as a priggish bore. “And I thought you a legend, sir. A cautionary tale used by protective parents to keep young cubs in line.”

Reaction rippled through the assembled ranks, but Leander’s gaze was on Arden’s face. A smile touched his lips as he looked at Leander. “A palpable hit, Ockley,” he murmured. His voice was rich and soft, with a hint of steel that intrigued Leander.

“Lea.” Henry’s voice broke in. He was not precisely floored, but he was foxed enough to ignore all dictates of manners as he tugged insistently at his brother’s arm. Knowing that if he resisted, Henry would only become more forceful, Leander allowed himself to be raised to his feet. His brother had been the same since nursery days—when he wanted something, he wanted it now, and it was usually attention he craved. Leander directed a small bow towards Arden, whose smile had widened at the spectacle Henry was making of them both, before following his brother’s urgent strictures to leave immediately.

Review

I’m always eager to pick up a new LGBTQ romance set in the regency era, where we know such relationships had to be clandestine, deeply hidden, highly cloaked. Having read (and re-read, more times than I can count) all of Jane Austen’s groundbreaking novels from the era, I’m already steeped in what such a novel should look like, and The Earl’s Awakening did not disappoint.

Where the novel departs from the period regency, of course, is in its open bedroom – or ballroom, or card room, or wherever the participants engage in their flaming debauchery and wild orgies.

The novel maintains a single point of view throughout, that of Leander, Earl of Ockley. As the novel opens, his behavior in every aspect conforms with what is expected from an upstanding and desirable male member of the Ton. Having recently lost his beloved wife, he honors the needs of his lady mother and plans to re-marry to provide her with the required heir – just not at present.

Seeds of his dramatic transformation are sown in Chapter Two when he first meets the Duke of Arden at a London gaming salon and notices, in spite of himself, that “his voice was rich and soft, with a hint of steel that intrigued Leander.”

Leander’s internal struggle to deny his urgings and prevent himself from acting upon them is richly and authentically conveyed. At nearly every turning point, he responds with action – powerless to resist that hint of steel – then tries to deny that what has occurred satisfies his deepest desires. The many explicit scenes that propel his journey forward are crafted with superb eroticism.

Is he being played for a fool by a rake who intends merely to ruin him? As he comes to recognize and claim what he truly wants, will he find himself rejected? Afficionados of gay erotic romance will relish the journey and find its conclusion highly satisfying.

Five Stars.

When your ex-boyfriend finally has the life he always wanted, it would take a real asshole to interfere with that…but not like Bode’s ever said he’s not an asshole.

Blurb

Bode Harlan has never claimed to be a good guy, but he’s trying to keep his nose clean and his head down these days.

After a year in prison for assault–and to be fair, he did it–he isn’t looking to go back. Admittedly, his pretty face being the star attraction in an illegal underground fighting ring seems to run counter to that goal, but he’s gotta pay the bills and there ain’t much else he’s good at.

And it keeps his parole officer off his back…since she runs the place.

Then his mom skips town and her boyfriend kicks Bode’s 14 year old brother out on the street. Bode grew up in and out of foster care, he doesn’t want that for Danny. It’s not like he can take the kid in, though. He’s an ex-con who gets beat up twice a month for money. That’s how he ends up on his good-natured ex-boyfriend’s doorstep. Sonny is a soft touch. At least he always was for Bode. All he wants is somewhere to crash for a couple of nights, nothing more. Sonny’s got his life together now–a home, a boyfriend, even a dog–and it would take a real asshole to want to blow that up.

…of course, Bode’s never said he wasn’t an asshole.

Excerpt

SONNY SLAMMED THE door. Or tried to. Before it closed, Bode shoved his boot into the gap, and the heavy wood bounced off leather and bone.

Bode winced and had the balls to look put out. The cooking show Sonny had been halfway through rattled on in the background. It wasn’t the soundtrack that Sonny had imagined for his first reunion with his sort-of ex. That had either been Driver’s License or Bad Guy, depending on his mood.

“Why do you assume I want something?” Bode asked. His hair was shorter than it used to be—making it look darker, more red than ginger—and a bruise had just started to bloom around one of his eyes. At some point, Sonny knew it would fade down to a marshy green that nearly matched Bode’s eyes. He’d seen that happen before.

Back when Bode’s bruises had been Sonny’s business. That had been a while ago.

“Why else would you be here?” Sonny asked. He could hear it in his voice—the dredged-up hurt, the once-broken heart—but he doubted Bode would notice. It wasn’t the sort of thing he cared about. Other people and how what he did affected them were not Bode’s area of expertise. Sonny checked the time. “At nearly midnight.”

Bode shrugged, one-sided and laconic. “Maybe I wanted to tell you I’m out.”

“You’ve been out for three months,” Sonny said.

“Keeping tabs?” Bode asked with a slow, smug smile. It probably hurt as it creased along the edges of the bruise, but he didn’t let that stop him. “I didn’t know you still cared.”

“I don’t,” Sonny said. It wasn’t true. He cared, but that didn’t have to mean anything. It didn’t mean anything. “Just pointing out you’ve had plenty of time to drop by, yet this is the first time I’ve seen you. What happened? We keep missing each other?”

“You always got up too early for me.”

Sonny was surprised at how angry that made him. He wasn’t stupid. Bode knew that. So why stick to his stupid lie when they both knew Bode wouldn’t cross the street to see Sonny, not unless he had an ulterior motive. His temper felt like a head cold, the pressure of it at the back of his eyes. Usually it took him a long, grudging time to get mad about something, but Bode had been an asshole for years, so that pump was about ready to blow.

Except Sonny didn’t like it when he lost his temper. He didn’t like being out of control. It never ended well. He bit the inside of his cheek, a knot of old scar tissue from the habit gritty between his teeth, and throttled the hot emotion back.

“Right, well,” he said. “Whatever. If that was the only reason you’re here, job done. Now I know. I’m glad for you.”

He opened the door. Bode had the balls to look smug, as if he’d known that Sonny would come round. More fool him. Sonny braced his hands flat against Bode’s chest and gave him a shove that made him stagger backward.

“You can still fuck off,” Sonny repeated and slammed the door.

He turned around and leaned back against the door while he waited. On the TV screen, a woman in a white chef’s coat was trying to do something to a side of beef with a coat hanger. The dog had taken the opportunity to crawl up onto the couch and bury her head under a cushion, as if there was no way Sonny would see her whole ass sticking out.

Five.

Four.

Three.

The idea that he might have gotten it wrong—that Bode might have actually fucked off—had just started to nibble at the back of Sonny’s mind. He hated—really, honestly hated—that it would bother him if Bode had.

It wasn’t that he deluded himself that Bode couldn’t leave things unsaid with him—that was how Bode preferred to leave things. It was just that they’d known each other since they were kids, and Bode didn’t easily give up on anything he wanted. It would be weird if that changed now. No, the reason Bode was here was because he wanted something.

And two…

“I need somewhere to crash,” Bode said through the door. “Just for a couple of nights, until I sort something out.”

A con man and a government agent walk into a carnival…

Blurb

Bartlett Gibson is a necromancer and an agent for the Tennessee Bureau of Supernatural Investigation. He’s hot on the trail of RJ Tucker, a psychic con man who has eluded him at every turn and led him on a merry chase. Pursuit leads to grudging respect in their game of cat and mouse, which becomes a high-stakes game of seduction. Bart chases RJ to the Carnival of Mysteries and realizes that nothing is as it seems. A dark witch’s curse ups the ante, creating a deadline for revenge and redemption, and the clock is ticking.

Falling in love breaks all the rules. Can Bart and RJ stop the witch, break the curse, and find a way around RJ’s spot on the “most wanted” list before time runs out?

Roustabout is a fast-paced MM paranormal romance filled with supernatural suspense, snarky humor, crafty carnival workers, sarcastic ghosts, midway magic, hurt/comfort angst, adversaries-to-lovers tension, and a very happy ending!

Part of the multi-author, shared-world Carnival of Mysteries series. Can be read as a stand-alone.

Excerpt

But first, reckless as it might be, RJ had a date.

He knew he was fussing too much over his hair—manicuring his stubble and manscaping— but it had been a long time since there’d been anyone to notice, and he was going to make the most of it.

RJ wore his best shirt, a russet one that complemented his hair and warmed his pale complexion. Together with a new pair of jeans and a pair of Timberlands that were a rare splurge, he knew he cleaned up well.

He drove to Rosco’s Barbecue and parked, then realized his palms were sweating as he gripped the steering wheel.

It’s just dinner, he told himself. But nobody had ever made him feel like Bart did.

He grew up fast on the circuit surrounded by roustabouts and wranglers who didn’t follow convention and largely lived outside the restrictions of polite society. RJ had plenty of boyfriends and lovers over the years. Those in the carnival life rarely expected permanence, and relationships seldom lasted more than a season.

Moving from place to place had been a necessary distraction in those years. He hadn’t wanted more than temporary connections since he still mourned the people he had loved and lost. The dream of vengeance had sustained him, and for a long time, that was enough.

But now, with the end of his quest in sight, RJ found himself wanting more. Maybe he could never tell a partner everything about his old life and the recompense he had dealt out, but perhaps he didn’t need to live in self-imposed solitude.

After all, people in WITSEC get married. This isn’t too much different.

God, I’ve got the cart before the horse. We haven’t even fucked properly, and I’m picking out china patterns. It’s just dinner. And maybe a blow job if I play my cards right.

He went inside and looked for Bart. When he didn’t see the tall man waiting, his stomach tightened, fearing he had been stood up.

Bart came in a moment later, looking harried. “Sorry. Work ran over. Have you been here long?” He looked like he really cared whether RJ had been worried.

RJ relaxed and gave a broad smile. “Just got here myself.” His stomach growled. “It smells so good in here, and I’m starving.”

They followed the hostess to a table. RJ saw Bart slip her a twenty to get a spot out of the thick of the fray. Rosco’s did a booming business, with food that deserved the buzz.

“Did you have a good day?” Bart asked after they had ordered. RJ thought it was charming that Bart seemed flustered.

Maybe he’s as out of practice as I am.

Blurb

Alexa has missed out for long enough. Life with her ex had stuck her with a vanilla sex life. All the deep, dark fantasies she had hidden away began to bubble up once she became single. Her journey toward sexual freedom skyrocketed when she learned about neighborhood sex secrets at a pool party where she was suddenly calling two neighbors ‘Daddy’. As she melted into the secret sex world emerging before her in the seemingly boring square mile of homes, she deliciously found herself assimilating into the hidden underworld of an alternative lifestyle.

Her sexual explorations exploded as she let go of traditional societal conventions and chose to take chances. Instead of playing alone in her bedroom, she began to live out the raunchiest depths of her fantasies as her new partners set out to help her fulfill her sexual bucket list. Alexa spread her wings doing taboo acts in real life that, until then, she’d only watched on a screen or lived merely in her dreams. Her Daddies became her guardians, deliverers of her desires, and directors of sexual heights she never thought were possible.

But then her new world gets threatened. Someone doesn’t want her in the new triad of Daddy, Daddy, and good girl. Not only can the good guys turn bad, but bad guys also come back, and only the protected good girls can withstand the storms. Through it all, she finally understands one thing for sure, she is most definitely a good girl, and good girls have the most fun when they follow their ‘Daddies’.

A Daddy Dom/submissive story of control and submission that flourishes as mutual sexual freedoms. The book contains elements of mild BDSM, multiple partners, exhibitionism, experimentation, cheating, and lots of pleasure. ALL acts are consensual and characters are 18 and over. Enjoy a story of fantasy later-in-life exploration into open sexuality. “Daddy” is used as a term for leader.

Excerpt:

Chapter 2

Kyle was one of those men who just looked like he knew how to fuck, and fuck well. He had a sleek body that tapered to a real waist that drew my eyes to his crotch every time I saw him. I often wondered if I turned him on or if he had just been blessed with a perpetual boner.

Today was no different.

His wife Mandy loved throwing neighborhood pool parties. She was a sexy, trophy-type-looking wife with big fake tits, no belly, and caked-on makeup, which I imagined she must scrap off with a paint chipper every night.

Being more natural myself, I figured Kyle had no interest in me because he’d picked her to marry.

I was wrong as fuck.

I slipped into their perfectly manicured backyard through the perfectly painted white fence door. Their picket fence was more of a wall, being six feet and wrapping fully around their ginormous backyard. As I sauntered in, the black sheep divorcee of the neighborhood, I got a few disdainful glances, just as I expected. Mostly from the snooty women, and none from the men.

There were at least twenty-five people here already. ‘No kids’ the invitation had said. In the back of my mind, I had hoped that meant sex fest, but most of these prudes probably couldn’t get past their fantasies of it.

I sighed and grabbed a red Solo cup of dark red liquid with bits of pineapple, strawberries, and blueberries bobbing it in. I swished down a swallow and grimaced.

Kyle’s laughter made me turn my head.

“Like drinking melted jolly ranchers, huh?” The twinkle in his eyes sent a twitch through my clit. His scruffy face held a five o’clock shadow that I couldn’t stop imagining tickling my thighs.

“What?” I was stupid for a moment. My jaw fell open as my eyes darted down his shirtless body to the bulge in his swim trunks. Perpetual boner man. Mandy was lucky as fuck.

He wasn’t just shirtless, he was more than half-naked and I couldn’t stop staring.

I forced myself to close my jaw and wiped my mouth with my fingers. It’d been way too long since I’d enjoyed a real dick.

I gave an awkward laugh. “Yeah, pretty much, but laced with a gallon of vodka.”

“Yep, Mandy’s specialty. I swear she works out just so she can drink this sugary slop.”

I patted the small cooler hanging from my shoulder. “I have back-ups.” I smiled because he was smiling at me.

My mind drifted back to the game night last night. He’d been there too. The brush of his hand along my ass cheeks as we both had been in the kitchen getting snacks had been my masturbation fodder last night. My heart raced as I once again imagined he had done it on purpose, and not just as an oops. I reasoned that a swipe could be an oops, but a grab, well that was a clear message.

“I like your bikini. Bright pink is very nice on you.” He ran a hand through the gray patch at his temple as he winked at me. “It suits you perfectly.”

His eyes dwelled on my D cups. My heartbeat raged.

“Thank you,” I said, enjoying his eyes roaming my body.

Mandy skittered over to us. Her boobs bounced and she giggled. “Kyle, come with me. I want us to tell Molly and Steve about our last conquest.”

Kyle nodded at her, but when her back was turned, he rolled his eyes and stuck his finger in his open mouth. He followed her, which I’d imagine made sense on some level.

I picked at my second plate of food and searched for a decent soul to talk to. There were only a few guys I actually liked talking to, but their wives always seemed to ruin it by hovering and gossiping about bland shit, so I just stood with my plate of fruit and nuts and watched couples play in the water. One couple was clearly fucking in the corner, so I watched them, which did nothing to quell my burning need for cock.

Maybe I’d just leave and go home and fuck myself with my new big pink dildo toy. I’d enjoy fantasizing about Kyle stripping off my suit in the pool shed and fucking me to a cummy messy pulp against the extra floaties they always kept in the corner. I imagined bouncing on them as he rammed into me from behind, my bare-skinned tits squeaking on the plastic.

I tossed my plate in the garbage and turned to leave. But something shiny caught my eye, glinting from the window of the pool shed. I squinted. The distraction helped to squelch my raging lust, at least for the moment.

I took a few steps closer. Whatever it was, it was being waved around by someone inside and it was catching the sunlight. The door opened slightly and Kyle’s head peeked around the big white door.

The head of his bare, swollen cock popped into view next.

All the air left my lungs as I gasped.

His hand appeared like a claw on the edge of the door, his finger beckoning me with a come-hither motion.

“Oh my Gawd,” I whispered. I quickly glanced around to see if maybe he was meaning to get Mandy’s attention, but she was over on the other side of the pool, talking excitedly with her hands. Her minions nodded and cajoled along with her like good pets.

I glanced back at the pool shed, thinking I must have imagined seeing Kyle there. I’d dreamt of that more than once and with how horny I was, and being a bit buzzed, I was sure I’d been seeing things.

But no.

He peeked around it again. Thrust his dick in the air and then pulled it back behind the door.

I resisted the urge to run to him, expose him for being a mirage. I strolled along, casually walking as my heart threatened to beat right out of my chest. I was panting already, and my pussy lips felt wet as they slipped against each other with each step.

He stuck his dick out the open door again and yanked it back quickly. The teasing look in his eyes was delicious.

I stole along the bonfire pit, gingerly passing the two couples sitting in the chairs, chatting. I avoided their eyes as I moved past. They were only ten feet from the pool shed.

My heart flew to my throat as I entered the little house. I half expected to find it empty, proving my imagination had fooled me.

Kyle stood next to the pile of floaties, naked, dick fat and thick, and standing up like a rocket reaching to launch.

“Holy fuck,” I muttered and left my mouth open.

“Wanna?” he asked with a flick of his head.

“How … ?” I stammered.

He took a step towards me. Then another. And then three more. He reached around me, which made his bulging cockhead press into my belly as he shut the door.

“You could make good use of that open mouth,” he said with a snicker.

He didn’t even lock the door, but pressed his hands on my shoulders.

Shock froze me in place. I wanted this, but how in the actual fuck was this happening? I dropped to my knees and took his cock tip in my mouth, as if this was what I had expected.

He groaned out as I sucked his head. I lost my hesitation as I tasted his erection. It had been over a year since my divorce, and even longer since I’d had cock between my lips. It felt so good to have dick in my mouth again. Something wild and primal groaned into existence deep inside me as I savored his taut flesh.

I moaned as I jerked him off while sucking as hard as I could. It was like I was watching us from above. This was surreal. My disbelief transformed into craziness as I rode him hard with my mouth like a mad woman. I sucked his cock like I’d never sucked anyone’s cock before in my life.

The groan he released told me it’d been a while since he’d gotten a blow job.

“Oh fuck,” he sputtered as his hips moved.

He grabbed my arms and pulled me to stand. Our mouths collided. A hot, wet kiss sent my want for him sky-high.

He cupped my breasts in his large hands. He squeezed.

I yelped.

He kissed down my neck, making his way toward my breasts.

“What are we doing?” I asked breathlessly. “We can’t do this.”

He popped my right tit out and consumed it with a satisfied grunt. He sucked my hard nipple for thirty seconds, then muttered, “I just need a taste of you.”

I writhed against his suckling, his cock dancing along the bare skin of my tummy. My mind drifted to Mandy and why he hadn’t pulled her into the pool shed to fuck.

It was true that Kyle was at least ten years older than me, but that just turned me on more. There was a good chance he could have fathered me, at least from a breeding standpoint, if not more. Our age gap was intoxicating, but ever since I’d become single at forty, the thoughts of older men had gifted me so many orgasms, more than I’d ever try counting.

His hands migrated down my hips, then he grabbed both of my ass cheeks so hard I squealed.

His eyes were staring at me so intently, with such passion, it fueled my already frenzied mind.

“Yes,” he said with force as he devoured me in a French kiss.

Our bodies tangled. I ran my hands from his shoulders to his biceps, back up to mess up his lush hair.

We kissed, writhing against each other, moaning and groaning. We sucked tongues as if our neighbors weren’t just outside the walls stuffing their faces and chatting about stupid unimportant shit.

But this was important.

“Fuck, I want you,” he said fervently.

I’d have laid down with my legs spread just from that sentence alone. I hadn’t heard such a wonderful thing since my twenties. My mind reeled; it was at war at once both with joy and confusion. But there was no way in fuck I was stopping.

I pulled back from him, bit my lip, and smiled. “I’ve wanted you for years, Kyle.” It was so freeing to say it out loud.

He smiled a deep smile. “I know.”

I swiped my palm along the precum oozing out of his cock, deftly spreading it around his firm skin.

He moaned and slid his fingers into my bikini bottoms. I threw my head back and moaned as he tickled his fingers along my lower lips. The rapid motion of his fingers along my wet folds got me gyrating my hips. Fuck, that felt amazing.

His eyes were so hungry for me that they set my passion ablaze. A strange urge to bite him bloomed in me.

“Fuck me,” I said between my pants. “Please.”

He chuckled. “Beg me some more.” His eyes twinkled as I’d never seen them before.

I stifled a laugh. He was clearly too horny to be serious. So I played along.

“Please, fuck me. I want you inside me.”

His grin grew bigger. “More,” he demanded as he began to finger fuck my sopping wet pussy.

“Please, I want your big dick slapping the inside of my walls. Fuck me.”

“Fuck me what?” he asked with even more gumption in his voice.

“Fuck me hard.”

He withdrew his hand from my hot, wet cunt. In one swift motion, he flipped me around and bent me over the pile of floaties.

I gasped in shock as my face smashed hard into the bouncy mattresses.

He fondled my ass and pressed his shaft against the crack of my buttocks.

“Fuck me hard, what?” he said with arrogance.

His coercive, stern tone sent a shiver down my spine. I moaned as he rubbed his palm along my labia.

The phrase was on the tip of my tongue and, as he rammed his fingers into my slit, I uttered the words I longed to say. “Daddy. Fuck me hard, Daddy.”

He released a slow, satisfied chuckle. “Yes, baby girl. Yes.” He left me untouched for a moment, then I heard the music outside get louder. “There. That’s perfect,” he declared. “If I’m going to make you scream, we need a cover.”

“Oh, fuck yes,” I moaned out. I couldn’t contain my glee. I was going to get fucked. And by Kyle. My excitement came out as a series of whimpers.

He intended to fuck me indeed. His passionate grabs delivered the promise of his words as he pressed deep into my flesh. He continued to finger fuck me as I wiggled on the pile of floaty toys, my fingernails digging into the soft squishy plastic. He pulled his fingers out and tapped my thighs.

I obeyed and spread my legs further apart. He spanked my clit with his open palm and I screamed out.

“Good girl,” he said compassionately.

His words made me shiver, they gave me pride as I let him bring me closer to orgasm. He hit my clitoris hard and fast on repeat.

He leaned over my ear and I savored his skin all along my back. He whispered, “You a clit junkie? Or do you need G-spot too?”

I nodded, then said, “Yes.”

He laughed and smacked my clit into a big orgasm. I screamed again as I peaked. My body shuddered and twitched as the contractions traveled from my pelvis out to my body.

“Good girl,” he said again, which threw me into another peak of the orgasm.

My body jerked through another rise to a climax. I gasped and panted as he massaged my clitoris.

“Now I’m going to fuck you hard. Be my whore?”

I nodded emphatically. I already was that.

He pressed his mushroom head inside my cum-soaked opening and we both groaned out. He wasn’t gentle, but pounded me like he was desperate.

I grunted as his body smacked into my ass. His sounds drove me insane.

“More,” I begged, my voice sounding like some other woman’s.

He fucked me harder. My feet kept slipping on the wet concrete floor and my full body weight now pressed the pile of pool toys down. He rammed into me with so much power and stamina, I was hurled into another orgasm.

He quickly withdrew his cock from me and his cum splatted across my ass.

The door of the pool shed opened and I gave a little cry.

I didn’t want to glance back for fear it was Mandy.

“You are late,” Kyle said like he wasn’t a bit sorry.

“I couldn’t get away. Miranda kept jabbering on about the deals she got at Sam’s.” I knew that voice. My mouth fell open as I finally had the nerve to glance back at the speaker.

It was Allen. The neighbor from down the street who had seven kids with his wife, Miranda. His downtrodden look broke my heart. The image of his wife walking her dogs behind my house earlier flitted through my brain. I wondered what alternate universe I’d just fallen into.

He chuckled heartily as his expression went from annoyance to amusement. “Fuck. I missed it, didn’t I?”

I stared at the two of them. It felt more like a dream than reality.

Kyle licked his cum off my ass, then helped me to stand up.

I slumped against him as all the feel good hormones swam in my body, unable to stay upright alone.

“Oh, babe. You okay?” he asked like a good Daddy.

“You fucked me into a stupor, I guess.” I smiled and gave a single flighty guffaw. Calling him ‘Daddy’ hadn’t felt fake. I suppose he’d have to prove that. Maybe I just wanted it so bad that I just gave myself permission to claim it. I could back out.

“Don’t look so shocked, Alexa.” Allen ran his hand down the mound at his crotch.

I shook my head and didn’t mask my bewildered look. “How can I not?”

“Nice tits,” Allen said with a nod. “I’ve been hungering to see those for years.”

I snickered. “Where were you guys when I wanted to open up my marriage?”

Kyle blurted, “Oh, I asked Mark once if you two were into that. He said, ‘No way.’ So I let it go.”

My mouth fell ajar. More betrayal. I had asked Mark to open our marriage years ago and he had refused. “Are you guys open?” I asked, aghast.

Allen smiled. “My wife is vanilla, but she lets me sleep around. She knows we have different needs and wants, so she allows me to play outside our marriage, but we love each other and want to stay married.”

I tried to wrap my brain around how they had so many kids and she let him fuck others. And more about how she didn’t want to join him. “I have so many questions,” I stammered out.

His response was to grin deeper and rub his hands together.

“Wow,” I said as my eyes drifted to Kyle’s satisfied face. It felt amazing to help a man come again.

“I’m not open as in open, I’m open in the dark.” His expression told me all I needed to know.

I gasped. “So last night was a come-on?” My brain was still slowly catching on.

“We had the plan to pull you into the back room and ask you,” Allen said with a giant lecherous grin. “But you left before we made the move.”

“I told you we should have texted her,” Kyle said as he squeezed my bicep.

My heart did a somersault. I glanced down at Kyle’s dick, which was still erect. He held me steady, which was comforting since I was still shaking a bit. My mind scrambled, wondering who else they’d propositioned for threesome sex in the neighborhood. My brain stalled. Wait a minute. Threesome sex happened in my neighborhood? My confusion paralyzed me as I scanned Allen’s body and eyes for more answers.

Allen pulled his dick out of his swim trunks and began to stroke it.

I couldn’t keep my eyes off the thickened manhood in his hands, nor the desire in his eyes. It was all hypnotizing me.

Dumbfounded, I stared at his hardon, then met his gaze.

“Care to play again?” he asked, his eyes hopeful. The suggestive leer he gave me would have convinced me if I hadn’t already been in.

“Yes,” I said without any hesitation, and a smile.

“Very nice,” he said appreciatively with a rapid stroking of himself.

What’s one more married dick inside me at this point? If I was honest, I wanted Allen too. Yet I was even surprising myself as I yearned for his cock to pierce my slit as well. Dr. Seuss flitted across my brain. Not ‘thing’, but dick one and dick two. The ridiculousness of this ‘who scene’ thought that had popped in my head almost made me laugh in their faces. I shouldn’t be thinking of children’s books in such a moment as this.

Part of me worried Mandy would come looking for us, but most of me didn’t care. Would Miranda really be fine if Allen fucked me? I was already the outcast. Now I’d be the outcast who was sexually pleasured by two of the neighborhood’s married men. The me of five years ago would have never done this, but who I’d become ran headlong in.

I guffawed. “So Miranda knows this is happening?” I swirled my finger in the air in a circle to signify us.

Allen nodded with a devilish grin. “Yeah, and she also knows I will pleasure the absolute fuck out of her later because of it.” His jubilant laughter filled the shed. “She’s no dummy. That woman gets what she wants and then some.”

“Not a bad deal at all.” I raised an eyebrow, wondering if he was really telling the truth, and more importantly, if I could ever convince her to join us.

Allen pulled me to him and kissed me as Kyle pressed himself snugly to my backside. It was foreign to have these two men on me like this, but I welcomed all the yummy taboo of it. This was a fantasy come to life. Would I regret it later? Most definitely. But I was doing this. Fuck yes, I was doing it. The rush of both of their bodies pressed to mine left me breathless and weak.

Their grips roamed me and, for the first time in my life, I enjoyed two sets of masculine hands along my skin. The booze had worn off, but the euphoria had taken over. I writhed between them as they mauled and kissed my flesh. Our combined moans filled the pool shed as the music blared outside.

I glanced out the window at all the guests of the party and smiled lasciviously.

“This is fucking delicious,” I said with a groan.

They both laughed and agreed.

I ran my hands through Allen’s mostly gray hair and dragged my fingers to his beard. I tugged on his whiskers as he fingered my pussy. His fat fingers felt amazing inside me.

“Oh, my Gawd.” I leaned my head back against Kyle as he fondled my breasts, pinched and tugged on my nipples. I reached up to caress his face as Allen knelt in front of me.

He pressed his face between my thighs as Kyle braced me from behind, still playing with my nipples. His tongue explored my pussy lips and then he locked onto my clit with a hard suck. He massaged my hips as he ate me out to a huge orgasm. His whiskers along my skin were even more enticing than I’d had imagined.

I sighed, though I wanted to scream. I sucked in a deep breath and slowly let it out. In a moan-filled voice, I asked, “Who needs to get married again with you guys as neighbors?”

They both laughed heartily, Allen’s laughter sending arousing vibrations along my clit as I came hard against his mouth. He slurped at my pussy, eating my cum out of me.

As if they had planned it, Kyle raised me to my feet and Allen pressed his mouth to me. I could smell my pussy on his beard and taste me on his tongue.

We kissed as they mauled me like a rag doll between them. I’d never been so touched in my life, and it was intoxicating. Kyle swiveled me to face him and we kissed before Allen pushed on my back.

After I was bent over, I took Kyle’s cock in my mouth as Allen entered me from behind. No discussion, no rational thoughts left my mouth, though they lingered like an ignored itch on the edge of my consciousness. It was like being drunk and knowing it, but still reaching for that next swallow of beer.

They spit-roasted me into another orgasm as my body flopped like spaghetti between their thrusting hips. They’d need to carry me out of here at this rate. They could tell guests I had drank too much and had passed out. Damn, I was good at dreaming up excuses. But this was our secret, and none of their business. I closed my eyes and savored them taking their pleasure from my body as they gave it back to me as good. They both came hard as skin smacks and wet sloshing sounds filled the shed.

When I opened my eyes, Miranda was standing at the window with her phone held up. I was startled, but the appreciative look on her face immediately eased my worry. She was loving what she saw. I tried to process it as they pulled their wet cum-soaked cocks in and out of me.

They finally withdrew their dicks from me. Allen saluted his wife. She raised her eyebrows, pointed at Allen, then at herself, then left.

“Wow, just wow,” I muttered. “I had zero ideas of this.”

Allen sighed heavily. “Epic fuck, Alexa.” He was still fully dressed in his Hawaiian shirt and khaki trunks, only his dick was out and dripping.

I immediately wondered if he came in me. What had occurred in the last few minutes was fuzzy. I’d been so overwhelmed I hadn’t noticed where he spewed.

“Don’t worry, I’m clean and I’m fixed.” He held up seven fingers. “After boy number seven, we needed to shut this breeder down cold turkey.” He shoved his deflating cock back into his suit.

I stared at him, aghast. I had my two boys. I couldn’t imagine seven. And, apparently, he had women on the side. “Well, we know you are virile, so it’s a good thing you’re neutered.”

Kyle snickered.

“Hey, I’ve got balls.” His belly shook as he enjoyed my humor. “And I get tested regularly, so I’m healthy.”

My brain flitted to what his insurance claim processor must see on a regular basis and I stifled a laugh. Though his admission of sleeping around with Miranda knowing eased my worry, there was still Kyle.

“And I haven’t fucked anyone in a few years, besides Mandy. Guess I was waiting for you to seem ready.” Kyle grinned deeply. “And Mark to be out of the picture.”

“I’m suddenly really happy I didn’t move after the divorce.” To be sought after by one man was exciting, but two? “Mmm. Wow! Now I feel special.”

“Oh, just you wait. Daddy has a lot in store for you, baby.”

The look in Kyle’s eyes gave me no doubts that was true. But Daddy statuses were earned, so I’d read, and he’d only tapped his toe in at this point. I’d play along for now, but there was too much missing to verbally agree.

That didn’t change the fact that his words lit a warm fire in my gut, which I had desperately needed on those cold winter nights alone in my bed.

“Oh, we’ve established ‘Daddy’ already, huh? What’s that make me? Can I be ‘Daddy’ too? Or two?” Allen chuckled in his usual jovial way.

Immediately my mind went to a gay couple, so I sneered, “Of course, but do my daddies fuck each other too?”

They roared with laughter.

“Not yet, baby girl, not sure we’re those kinds of daddies.” Allen snickered.

I didn’t care. I just knew my life had just gotten infinitely better. A glimmer of hope. Plus, the possibility of reaching a sexual bucket list goal of mine swelled into potential existence … vaginal DP. Why not dream big at this point? I didn’t know whether to laugh or scream.

“You are a delight and I’m loving that look on your face.” Allen clapped his hands. “I predict we are going to have lots of fun together.”

I’m a powerful and respected Alpha, but the wolf Mette covets my leadership. I’m injured when my conniving enemy challenges me.

After losing my pack and nearly my life, I go to lick my wounds in the human world, but my beloved mate Tia knows that a wolf’s broken spirit can heal, and there is only one true leader of our pack.

Note: Caleb is a very short werewolf action romance story with a mild heat level, moderate violence, and a HEA. This Romantic Moments story is the perfect length for a lunch break, before bed, or any time you want a quick, romantic read.

Excerpt:

Growling playfully, I dived underwater and tugged her into my arms. She met my playful passion with matching intensity, yet when we surfaced, uncertainty shone in her eyes.

“Mette worries me,” she confided.

“He’s strong, but I’m stronger. He lost a challenge to me once, and he won’t be stupid enough to try a second time.”

“That’s exactly what scares me. Mette isn’t stupid, and you shouldn’t have spared his life.” Tia slipped from my arms and waded toward shore. She stood, her sleek body glistening wetly in the moonlight.

Raising an eyebrow, I strode out of the lake to join her. “What about compassion?”

She glanced sharply at me over her shoulder. “At the very least, you shouldn’t have let him rejoin the pack after he challenged you.”

“Tia, you’ve spent more time among humans than I have. We both know their savagery knows no bounds, but they also understand mercy.”

GUEST POST

Clockwork and Concupiscence

I’ve always felt an affinity for the Victorian period. I was wearing high-necked blouses with cameos, long flowing skirts, and lace-up boots in my teens, long before they were fashionable. (The corsets came later…!) With my long hair parted in the middle and pulled back into a bun, I could well have been one of the heroines in the books I loved so much.

I was also a science geek from my earliest days. I received my first microscope when I was five, and my first chemistry set at seven. I entered every science fair. In seventh grade, I won grand prize on a televised science quiz show.

So it’s hardly surprising I’ve become a devotee of steam punk. I’ve been in love with this strange meld of science fiction and Victoriana for as long as I can remember – long before steam punk even had a name.  When I was in high school, I devoured H.G. Wells and H. Rider Haggard, and shared a Sherlock Holmes obsession with my dad. Later, I marveled at Neal Stephenson’s The Diamond Age and more recently, I discovered Gordon Dahlquist’s incredible The Glass Books of the Dream Eaters.

I’ve written a number of steam punk short stories for anthologies, as well as a full length novel, Rajasthani Moon. All these tales, though, were set in Asia rather than in the British Isles. I think I was afraid I’d make errors my UK readers would notice if I tried setting a story in Queen Victoria’s home country. In my steam punk trilogy The Toymakers Guild I finally bit the bullet and wrote an English steam punk novel. I had a lot of help with details from my critique group at the Erotica Readers & Writers Association, but of course I take responsibility for any residual mistakes.

I just hope you’ll find the story so exciting, you won’t notice them!

EXCERPT

X rated

“Enough!” she said, pushing herself into a half-sit. “Enough foreplay. I’ve been nearly two weeks without your cocks. I want you inside me.”

Rafe swung his legs onto the bed so he could stretch out beside her.

She reached out to capture his steely erection and gave it a squeeze. He felt bigger and harder than she remembered. He moaned in response.

Jeremiah crawled up the other side, between her body and the wall, and lay on his side, his head propped up on his hand. His luscious dark cock prodded her thigh, streaking her pale skin with pre-cum. Without relinquishing her grip on Rafe’s member, she stroked Jeremiah’s shaft, savouring the way the velvet-soft skin slid over the steel beneath.

“Oh, Jill! That’s marvellous!” Rafe murmured. “Though if you keep it up, I’ll spend faster than a ruptured cistern.”

“I’m not sure I can hold on either.” Jeremiah gritted his teeth as she ran her thumb over the knob, then tickled the sensitive ridge underneath. “But we’ll do our best for your sake. Who do you want first?”

“That should be you, Jerry, given that I got first taste.”

“No, it’s Jill’s choice.”

Heart racing like a runaway locomotive, Gillian looked from one man to the other. “I don’t want to choose. I want you both inside me.”

Jeremiah bolted upright, his eyes wide. “At the same time?”

She nodded, amused by his apparent shock.

Rafe rolled off the bed and onto his feet, grinning broadly. He knew her better than the Jamaican did. After all, they’d shared the Master’s aphrodisiac wine.

“I – um – how…?”  Jeremiah’s habitual poise had utterly fled. Despite his carnal aptitude, it was clear that certain things were outside the realm of his experience.

“Lie on your back,” Jill instructed. “You’re thicker than Rafe, so I think I’d rather have you in my cunny.” She scooted toward the outside edge of the mattress to give him room, then quickly removed her drawers. “This time, at least,” she added mischievously.

Jeremiah made an arousing picture, stretched out with his magnificent prick pointed toward the ceiling. Kneeling, Gillian straddled him and aligned her slit with the pinkish head. She lowered her body just enough to let her lower lips brush over the tip, then tilted her pelvis a few times to coat him with her juices.

The man below her groaned. “Don’t play with me,” he begged. “Take me, before it’s too late.”

She bent to press a brief kiss to Jeremiah’s succulent mouth. “I’m sure you can manage to control yourself,” she told him. As slowly she could manage, inch by careful inch, she let herself sink down, impaling herself on his cock.

After her weeks of chastity, her cunny was tight and almost unbearably sensitive. Jeremiah’s substantial bulk slid across her inner walls, stretching and opening her in the most delicious way imaginable. Her memories of their two previous couplings were not in error. The fit was perfect, filling her to the hilt and stimulating every nerve, without the slightest hint of pain.

“Oh, God, Jill! I can’t believe how good you feel.” He grasped her hips and arched up, burying himself more deeply.

Gillian clenched her cunt-muscles around his shaft. Jeremiah’s cock swelled and shuddered inside her. “Don’t move yet,” she said. “And please, don’t spend. I want us all to come together.” She flopped onto her hands and knees, her face close enough to Jeremiah’s for her to claim another quick kiss, then looked over her shoulder at Rafe.

“You know what to do, my dear.”

The wiry journeyman nodded. “Do you have anything I can use for lubricant?” he asked.

Gillian considered the question. Why hadn’t she visited the kitchen after dinner? She shook her head, annoyed that she hadn’t prepared more carefully for this evening. “I’m sorry.”

“Never mind.” He flashed her an angelic smile. “Don’t worry. I won’t hurt you.”

She let her head fall onto Jeremiah’s chest in order to elevate her arse. His skin was warm and slightly damp with sweat. She could hear the Jamaican’s heartbeat, fast and regular. She could feel the same pulse in the cock embedded in her quim. She sensed his tension, the near-irresistible desire to thrust, but he managed to remain still.

Thank you, she thought. Thank you both.

REVIEWS

The Journeyman’s Trial, The Toymakers Guild Book 2

Although set in the Victorian era, the denizens of Randerley Hall are thoroughly modern in the enthusiastic and open way they embrace their sexuality, pushing boundaries with the same vigor and gusto they push the boundaries of science. The members of The Guild embrace all manner of delightfully kinky perversions, while making scientific breakthroughs that are far ahead of their time. “The Journeyman’s Trial” has everything—adventure, romance, intrigue, and sizzling sensuality. I highly recommend you take the plunge and dive in. ~ Lawrence Westerman, Amazon

The Master’s Mark, The Toymakers Guild Book 3

… an excellent example of lusty yet tasteful erotica with an engaging plot and characters the reader actually cares about. The richly crafted steampunk setting, the chemistry between the characters, and the lusty passion heating up every page all come together in this breathtaking finale of the Toymakers series. ~ Michael Swanson, Amazon

On Tour: The Husband Criteria #NewRelease #RegencyRomance #GuestPost #Excerpt #BlogTour #TheCoffeePotBookClub @CKullmmannauthor @cathiedunn

A light-hearted, entertaining look behind the scenes of a Season that takes a different course with unexpected consequences for all concerned.

BOOK INFORMATION

Book Title: The Husband Criteria
Series: The Lorings, Book #3
Author: Catherine Kullmann
Publication Date: 24 August 2023
Publisher: Willow Books
Page Length: 297
Genre: Historical Romance / Regency Romance

BLURB

London 1817

The primary aim of every young lady embarking on the Spring frenzy that is the Season must be to make a good match. Or must it? And what is a good match? For cousins Cynthia, Chloe and Ann, well aware that the society preux chevalier may prove to be a domestic tyrant, these are vital questions. How can they discover their suitors’ true character when all their encounters must be confined to the highly ritualised round of balls, parties and drives in the park?

As they define and refine their Husband Criteria, Cynthia finds herself unwillingly attracted to aloof Rafe Marfield, heir to an earldom, while Chloe is pleased to find that Thomas Musgrave, the vicar’s son from home, is also in London. And Ann must decide what is more important to her, music or marriage.

And what of the gentlemen who consider the marriage mart to be their hunting grounds? How will they react if they realise how rigorously they are being assessed?

A light-hearted, entertaining look behind the scenes of a Season that takes a different course with unexpected consequences for all concerned.

When I first saw the blurb for The Husband Criteria, it struck me that within the constraints of the Regency era, the author’s heroines are seizing their power to make decisions for themselves, so I invited her to comment about this issue:

GUEST POST BY CATHERINE KULLMANN

Until well into the nineteenth century, on marrying, a woman gave up her own legal persona which was subsumed into that of her husband. This was known as coverture.

Under English common law, an adult unmarried or widowed woman was a feme sole, while a married woman was a feme covert. These are English spellings of medieval Anglo-Norman phrases (the modern standard French spellings would be femme seule “single woman” and femme couverte, literally “covered woman”). A feme sole had the right to own property and make contracts in her own name. A feme covert did not; she had very few recognized individual rights of her own. Husband and wife were one person as far as the law was concerned, and that person was the husband. A married woman could also not obtain an education against her husband’s wishes.. If he allowed her to work, he was entitled to claim her income for himself. He could decide where she lived and whether she saw her children, forbid her access to the marital home or compel her to return there, under threat of imprisonment if she failed to do so. She, on the other hand, could not resort to the courts to force a deserter  husband to return to her.

By today’s standards, Regency couples married hardly knowing each other. Think of Darcy and Elizabeth, and Jane and Bingley. In a modern relationship, they would just about have reached the point of exclusivity, or ‘going steady’ as we said fifty years ago, i.e. agreeing that they would not date anyone else. There would follow a longer courtship period; perhaps they would live together before marrying. These were not options during the Regency, Furthermore, it was almost impossible for a woman to get a divorce, while if her husband managed to divorce her—also a costly and long-drawn out procedure—she was socially ruined.

The patriarchal society also made it difficult if not impossible for a single woman to earn a living respectably, and the higher her social status, the more difficult this became. A lady could become a governess or companion without losing her status. These were generally live-in positions. She would be guaranteed bed and board, and receive a modest enough salary on top of it.

Marriage was the socially acceptable route to ensure a woman’s livelihood and social status. But how to choose the right man?

Intelligent women were all too aware of the dangers of marriage. They would have seen examples of good and bad relationships within their families and acquaintanceship. Jane Austen, who chose to remain single, is subtly subversive in her descriptions of courtship and marriage. She describes the situations of women whose husbands and fathers do not make proper provision for them (Sense and Sensibility and Pride and Prejudice), the importance that your prospective husband is of good character (Mansfield Park), and the dangers of marrying for the wrong reason.  She also insists on that certain, indefinable quality that, in The Husband Criteria, Cynthia describes as attraction. Charlotte Lucas, who  is not attracted to Mr Collins, but schemes to marry him so as to have a comfortable home, has little hope, Elizabeth Bennet thinks, of being even tolerably happy.

Chapter Four

“You and Marfield got on famously yesterday,” Chloe said to Cynthia. The three girls had gathered in Chloe’s sitting-room at Swanmere House to review the previous evening’s entertainment.

“Yes, he is not as haughty as he appears. We were talking about the horrors of bad dancing partners.” The others laughed as she explained their idea of dancing badges. “We should add them to our Husband Criteria.”

“Husband Criteria?” Ann looked from one to the other.

“I’d forgotten that,” Chloe said. “When we were in Weymouth two years ago, before either of us had come out, we talked about what we would look for in a husband, and how artificial an environment the Season is—the worst place to find the man one would wish to spend one’s life with.” She went to the little writing-desk and began to flick through the pages of a notebook. “Yes, here it is. The points are not ranked but in a mingle-mangle as they came to us.” She took a breath. “He should be good-looking, but not an Adonis, well-dressed, but not a dandy, and definitely not slovenly. A good rider who also respects your riding abilities.”

“Yes. There is nothing worse than being treated as a helpless Miss,” Cynthia put in, “or having him ride too close to you, as if he must be ready to seize your reins.”

“An interesting and interested conversationalist,” Chloe continued. “He doesn’t hold forth interminably, and expect you just to say ‘yes and amen’ but listens to what you have to say.”

“That’s really important,” Ann agreed. “He should also share some of your interests. I could not marry a man who detested music, for example.”

“Yes. He must be kind-hearted, care about his family and be on good terms with them. If he is a widower, he should be a loving father, not just looking for a wife to whom he can abdicate all responsibility for his children.”

“How are you to discover that?” Ann asked.

“That is difficult,” Chloe said. “One can observe his behaviour towards others, listen to how he speaks of his family, but ideally one would have to spend some time with him, say at a house-party—long enough for him to let the company mask fall.”

“Easier said than done,” Cynthia said gloomily. “What about family and fortune?”

“A gentleman, of course. He need not be wealthy, but able to support a wife and family,” Chloe said at once.

“Not a fortune-hunter,” Cynthia said.

“Nor a gambler or a rake,” Ann added. “I suppose we are dependent on our men-folk to ascertain those aspects of his character.”

“We must keep our eyes and ears open,” Chloe said.

“This is all very well,” Cynthia said suddenly, “but what about attraction?”

“Attraction?”

“You know, that indefinable quality that draws you to one gentleman rather than another, has you all aflutter in the ball-room, hoping he will invite you to stand up with him?”

The three girls looked at one another.

“Do you mean love?” Ann asked.

“Not exactly. I think this comes before love. You know what I mean, don’t you? The tremulous feeling when he smiles at you, or the way you dance in perfect harmony?”

“It has to be there too,” Chloe said, “but it can’t be the be-all and end-all, can it? What was that phrase of your old nurse?”

“‘There’s more to marriage than four bare legs in a bed’?” Cynthia recited. “But at the end of the day, that is what it will come down to, will it not? So it is essential that we do not find him distasteful in any way.”

A more solemn silence fell. If pressed, they might admit to having dreamt of a lover’s kisses, and were aware that, in the old phrase, a bedding followed a wedding, that this year’s bride was next year’s young mother. But they had never considered the realities of this natural progression in terms of that shadowy figure to whom ‘one day’ they would cede complete control of their person, becoming, as the law insisted, a femme couverte, subordinate to him in all things.

with stunning alpha love explosions.

BLURB

The Harvard law school graduation party at Daniel’s family’s exorbitant luxurious home with fireworks, catering and a sexy DJ with an elite, glamourous crowd creates an intoxicating encounter with Laura.

Billionaire family and friends in such decadent and extravagant surroundings make Daniel completely irresistible, but yet what are these alarm bells that Laura is feeling?

THEMES

Young boyish charm.
Top medical graduate.
Chiseled model body.
Pure love and attention.
Torn between good and bad influences.

EXCERPT

THE MOORE’S RESIDENCE WAS LIKE A SCENE FROM A MOVIE. Lights surrounded the villa, inside and out. Fresh flowers adorned the main hall. The flower beds surrounding had been pruned. The villa’s grounds covered a large expanse of land, and the maintenance was spot on. Laura wrapped her arms close to her chest as she stepped out of the car and handed the keys to the valet. More cars kept coming in, a part of her felt heavy with dread. She had the desperate urge to bolt but she also had to prove to her father that she could oversee her social life as well as her career.

Anyone could tell, the night held promises of tales, rumours, and gossip to be engaged. What she did not realize was that she would be the highlight of whatever spectacle was bound to break out. And so, it began.

The more the guests trooped in, the heavier the weight of her legs and the heavier the weight in her chest. Fear filled her lungs; the development of the project was in her hands and her composure during this party. The pressure made it difficult for her to relax.

Everything about the villa, including the wide sturdy gate connecting a high wall with electric infusion that was designed to keep intruders out. Laura had been to countless parties of elites in her life, but never had she been in a villa that seemed like home, screamed opulence at the same time was fresh and welcoming as the Moore’s.

There was a doorman positioned at the entrance with a warm smile on as he ushered guests in. Everything worked systematically, just as she knew it would. All details had been accounted for. The security system was top notch; they had installed an army of security cameras. Nothing would go wrong it was the Moore’s. The family came from old money. The Pharma Law Firm owned by the family was passed down from generations which implied the strong foundation of the household.

Laura braced herself, sucked in a deep breath as she walked towards the main hall of the villa where the party was in full swing. Music was playing while people stood at different areas hold conversations while waiters went round with champagne for whoever was willing to indulge themselves.

A Romance by a Lake; a Life Searching for a Teenage Lover

Blurb

1964: A dark summer night on a still black lake. A lantern is lit at the end of a dock. A blond girl in white appears and begins to dance, her body illuminated like the fireflies surrounding her. A second girl emerges from a house and is beckoned forward. The two meet, swim, and then kiss. Thus begins an ethereal romance and a young woman’s journey into adulthood.

Robin Bennet, age fourteen, has been accidentally abandoned at a lakeside rental house in the Pocono Mountains. Her parents were arguing, and each believed the other had remained with Robin. Alone, Robin discovers that someone has been sleeping in the house and is now stealing vodka and snacks. A fifteen-year-old boy, Kieran, the intruder, appears and invites himself to dinner. Robin is charmed by him, especially when she learns he is the brother of the beautiful girl who magically appeared on the dock the night before. After Kieran leaves, the “Firefly” returns, lights the lantern, and circles around it until Robin joins her. The two swim and make love on the beach. When Robin awakens, the Firefly—Stella—has disappeared, and Robin’s mother arrives, announcing they will return to New Jersey immediately because she is divorcing Robin’s father. Frantic, Robin tries to find Stella, a search that continues while Robin builds a career as an architect in Manhattan, fails in marriage, and struggles with her sexual identity.

Excerpt

[Robin’s parents have left her alone in a rented lake house, each thinking the other would remain. The year is 1964, Robin is 14, and has just drunk some wine.] “Robin shuddered awake. She shook her head, which felt on the verge of aching, and lifted her gaze toward the lake. To her amazement, the lantern was lit on the dock. Standing by it was the Firefly, dressed in white, her blond hair bright against the darkness of the water and the forested hill beyond.

Robin rubbed her eyes. She must be having drunken hallucinations, but when she looked again, the beautiful vision remained. Excitement shot through her, and she lurched to her feet, descended the stairs with the bottle of wine, and walked down the grassy hill to the path, afraid to blink and lose sight of the enchanting image that lay before her. As she stepped onto the dock, the Firefly circled the lantern and offered her hands in invitation, her long fingers sweeping through the air with elegant fluidity. It appeared the girl was smiling, but perhaps this was what Robin hoped.

She made her way carefully. Some of the boards were uneven, and she didn’t trust her steadiness after drinking so much. Her ears also seemed filled with a pulsing sound, or was that the loud beating of her heart? Nearing the girl, Robin knew the figure was Stella because of the strong resemblance to Kieran—the same yellow hair, slender build, neat features, and gracefulness. But Stella was more magnetic, more enchanting. Instantly, the dinner with Kieran was forgotten. This moment was all present, all now.

Dazed, Robin stopped and stared at this beautiful apparition, one she struggled to believe was real. Almost afraid of breaking the silence with words, she whispered, “Hello.”

“Hello,” the girl replied.

“Stella?”

“Yes. Robin?”

“Yes.”

The water lapped against the dock pilings, and a bird called from a distant tree. Above, the dark sky shrouded them in an illuminated enclosure.

They smiled at each other.

Robin inched closer, reveling in the sensuous figure before her. Stella had blue eyes. Perhaps a paler shade than Kieran’s or maybe the lantern’s glittering reflections were creating the appearance of translucence. Her skin was unblemished, smooth, and creamy. The fragrance of Jean Naté floated in the air.

“I hoped you’d return,” Robin said.

“I’m glad. I waited until Kieran left.” Her expression was amused, flirtatious.

Robin sighed. “I don’t think the dinner went well. I mean, the meal was fine, but Kieran is hard to understand.”

Stella laughed. “He’s perfected the fine art of being secretive.”

“And you? Are you the same?”

“Yes, I suppose so. You’ll have to find out.”

This sounded like a teasing challenge. “I will,” she answered in kind. “Would you like some wine?”

Stella accepted the bottle, drank, and wiped her mouth. Her lips were perfectly cut, pink, and alluring.

“Thank you.” She handed the wine back to Robin, who took a swallow. “Good. Now, it’s a warm night, Robin. We should swim, don’t you think?”

Without waiting for a response, Stella began undressing. Underneath her blouse, against her tanned skin, a lacy white bra was revealed. Robin noticed that Stella’s breasts appeared to be larger than hers, but Stella was two years older.

When Stella leaned down to unbuckle her sandals, Robin unbuttoned her own shirt, overcome with shyness. Although she showered with girls after gym class, Robin had never exposed herself like this. She fixed her eyes on Stella, who had dropped her pants and stepped clear. The girl was slightly taller than Robin, with legs and arms that were lean and strong. Clad only in cotton underpants and a bra, Stella gave her a captivating smile, turned, and dove neatly off the dock. For what seemed like a minute, she stayed underwater until she resurfaced about fifteen feet away. Stella brushed back her short hair and watched as Robin took off her slacks and sandals and executed a clean entrance into the black water. Rising near Stella, the two swam closer to each other and kept upright by paddling their arms.

Robin felt a wave of dizziness pass over her. Because of the wine or because of the nearness to this radiant being? She waited for the girl to speak, to act. Instead, Stella laughed, the sound reminding Robin of wind chimes blowing in a light breeze.”

BLURB

In an effort to move on from a painful past, Randy decides to put his photography skills to good use and advertises for a model in the local paper. Little does he realize that a sexy photo shoot would be just the thing to reunite with his childhood sweetheart, begging the question—does time heal all wounds?

EXCERPT

“I’m ready for my portrait, Mr. Santos,” she flirted blowing a kiss.

“Now you’re making me blush,” he laughed pointing to the center of the room under the umbrella.

“Please stand here…”

He redirected her.

“May I?”

She shook her head.

He placed his hand under chin and lifted it to face him. Then he placed his hands on her hips and adjusted her pose, brushing his fingertips against the side of her bottom and nearly cupping her ass. The room grew so silent; Alana could nearly hear a pin drop.

With a few quick movements of his wrist, her underwear could be on the floor. The sudden realization made her panties dampen and Alana felt a second pulse between her legs. She struggled to maintain composure and averted her gaze.

“What happened to the music?” Randy questioned as completely nonchalant as possible. He got up and played with his phone turning to another station.

Smooth jazz replaced hard rock and helped to ease her nervousness.

“How about the couch? That would look really hot.” He nodded towards the fake leather sofa.

“I…” Alana froze.

“Remember what I said earlier. You’re in good hands.”
