Erotic romance for two, three of more…that’s our tag line, and we’re stickin’ to it! We think readers will love our upcoming release The Best Man, scheduled at Amazon for June 1. My husband and I are launching our indie venture, B&B Publishing, with this release and we can hardly wait. We’ve already heard back from our first reviewer:

I LOVED THIS BOOK! Everything about Kitty and Jared was amazing. The run to and pull back and chase between them is amazing. Kitty’s take charge and no prisoners, make no apologies attitude along with the insecurities and vulnerabilities. Jared’s willingness to expand his comfort zone. I loved the backdrop of the horses and racing, showing you’re never too old to follow your dream. Beautifully written. Lorrie, The Romance Reviews.

Bad boy meets bad girl. Is there anything more?

We’re pumped! When we first met Kitty Paige, we were a little hesitant about leading out with such a bad-girl heroine. I can’t remember how we knew she’d be wearing yellow – it takes a bold woman to do that, and Kitty is nothing if not bold. Every move she makes is writ large. We wondered if readers would have trouble identifying with her. She’s not for the faint of heart.

But as with all characters, there’s a reason she turned out the way she did, and we knew she deserved to meet her equal. We think you’ll agree Jared is the perfect match.

So here’s the  blurb and a little taste of our bad-girl heroine, Kitty Paige. If you want a peek into bad-boy Jared’s M.O., you can check out another excerpt at this LINK.

BLURB

Passionate, hard working and every inch a business woman, Chicago realtor Kitty Paige likes her sex raw and edgy, and sees no reason to limit herself to just one man. Never married and not quite forty, the striking blonde has successfully raised her daughter, Susan, and is already pushing her new-found freedom to the limits.

Wealthy commodities middle-man and race horse owner Jared Jacobs is father of the best man at Susan’s wedding. He is smitten by the vision in yellow who exudes sex as she escorts her daughter down the aisle. Also single, the handsome mustached California ranch owner with mischievous eyes views his sex life as a series of splendid love affairs, and sets out to make Kitty next on the list.

Together and apart, their chemistry is explosive, and their sparkling repartee and steamy sex catch both partners by surprise. Jared is first to recognize he’s fallen in love. When Kitty panics, can Jared finesse his every move and reel her in?

EXCERPT

Kitty lifted her chin as soon as the broad shouldered mustached man headed in her direction. She knew what he wanted. He’d been studying her much of the afternoon and evening. She was surprised it took him this long to come after her.

She offered him a thin smile. How many times had he undressed her in his mind? Maybe as often as she’d undressed him. He was easy to look at. Probably late forties, early fifties at most. Fit. No pot belly, which she despised. Graying around the temples. Square chin and a cute mustache. Kitty shivered slightly, imagining how that Clark Gable mustache would feel rubbing against sensitive spots.

Kitty checked her watch and grimaced. Too bad she was catching the red-eye back to Chicago – there wouldn’t be time to satisfy her mustache curiosity.

HOP GIVEAWAY

Our hop prize is a free download (kindle or pdf) of The Best Man, to be delivered to the winner on June 1. To enter, leave us a comment telling us what you love or hate about bad-girl heroines. Can’t wait to hear from you – and don’t forget to check out all the other HOP posts at this LINK.

The Best Man ~ Two weeks and counting!

We can hardly wait! The two halves of Adriana are launching our own indie imprint, B&B Publishing, with the release of our erotic romance novel The Best Man, on May 31! We’ve already heard back from one reviewer:

I LOVED THIS BOOK! Everything about Kitty and Jared was amazing. The run to and pull back and chase between them is amazing. Laurie, The Romance Reviews.

We’re thrilled with this cover by Dawné Dominique of DuskTilDawn Designs:

Bad boy meets bad girl. Is there anything more?

BLURB

Passionate, hard working and every inch a business woman,Chicago realtor Kitty Paige likes her sex raw and edgy, and sees no reason to limit herself to just one man.

EXCERPT

Leaning against the banquet room wall, Jared Jacobs surreptitiously studied his prey one more time. The tall shapely blonde in the canary yellow dress and yellow stilettos had drawn his attention from the moment he’d seen her walking her daughter down the aisle.

She’d escorted the bride with her chin up and with a satisfied smile on her ruby lips. Apparently she and her daughter didn’t mind thumbing their noses at custom. Unlike many mothers of the bride he’d seen, this one did not carry a Kleenex in her hand. She probably didn’t have any in her tiny clutch purse, either. Tears wouldn’t come naturally to the fair-skinned female exuding confidence at the chapel and here at the reception.

She appeared to laugh easily enough with acquaintances at the table where she was seated. But a careful observer would note that her laughter seldom reached her eyes. Like him, she was a sharp observer. She’d assessed everyone in the room, particularly the men. When her gaze had settled on his from across the room, she’d lingered ever so briefly before moving her attention to the person standing next to him.

The small band began to play in earnest. Considerable banter and movement was occurring at the head table, where the groom helped his bride to her feet. Jared smiled. The traditional first dance was about to begin.

He glanced back at the woman in yellow. Why hadn’t she sat at the head table along with the wedding party and the groom’s parents? He liked a woman who did things her way—to a point. He welcomed a challenge of most any kind. He had little doubt the woman in yellow would be a challenge.

No one had bothered to introduce him to the mother of the bride. He’d made a point to find out what he could about her. Kitty Paige lived inChicago. Never married, she’d raised her daughter by herself. To her credit, Susan had done well in school, in her profession and now in marriage. Her mother had little formal education beyond high school and apparently had no need for a husband. She certainly had no need for a husband’s second income. According to his sources, Kitty Paige was acknowledged, grudgingly by some, as one of the top ten most successful realtors in theChicagoarea, specializing in high end residential and commercial properties. She could likely buy and sell anyone in the room.

He smiled to himself. Well, most anyone. Jared combed his narrow mustache with his fingers and pushed away from the wall. The dance floor was already getting crowded.

Hump Day Hook – Aria Returns #HDH #menage

Welcome to the Hump Day Hook Giveaway Day! To enter for a download of Aria Returns, leave a comment answering the question at the bottom of the page.

Today is release day! Hubs and I have been living with this book a long time, and with Aria (I wish!) even longer. The love goddess Aria is one of those characters who never leaves, and we finally bowed to her wishes and wrote down her newest story, just as she told it to us. We’ve been excited to explore the realm of tantra and sacred sex again (you knew a goddess would take us there, right?), so here’s a sample of her technique for your enjoyment!

BLURB

Traumatized by the boyfriend from hell, Amber Heath makes a desperate plea for help—and is shocked when the immortal love goddess Aria materializes and whisks her away to a nineteenth century Carnivale.

Jeff Conway is still reeling from his fiancé’s betrayal and not about to risk his heart. But he’s more than willing to play with the spunky sprite Aria brings to meet him at Carnivale.

Sometimes watching, sometimes joining in, and always coaching, Aria launches Amber and Jeff on an erotic journey back to health and playfulness. But even the love goddess can’t force them to love each other.

EXCERPT

“That’s right,” Aria said. “You have her right on the edge again. Don’t make her come. Slow. Steady.”

Jeff nodded at the goddess while trying to breathe through his nose. He watched Amber blink her eyes and wet her lips, her eyes glazing over.

“I’m okay,” she whispered, answering his unspoken question. “How are you doing?”

“Okay,” he nodded in turn. “I doubt I’ve ever been deeper.” She lay beneath him with her feet flat against his chest and her knees drawn back to touch her breasts. He had one hand around her ankle and the other covered her knee. Her grip on his thigh was tight.

Amber twisted her head to look at the goddess. “How much longer?”

Aria leaned over to wipe Amber’s perspiring brow. “We’ll stay with this position a little longer, then we’ll try something different.”

“You didn’t answer my question.”

“Soon,” Aria said, kissing Amber’s mouth lightly. “Soon.” She backed away. “You’re working on a huge one, girl. Notice how each time you approach an orgasm and then back away from it, the next time you can climb just a little bit higher.”

Hump Day Hook ~ Aria Returns #HDH #paranormal # menage

Can the immortal love goddess Aria heal not one but two traumatized hearts—and if she succeeds, will those hearts open to each other?

Aria Returns will be released at Extasy Books May 1! Have you ever written a character who gets under your skin and practically haunts you, begging you to come back? Hubs and I feel like we’ve been living with the love goddess Aria for years (we wish!). Her first book, Colors of the Night, was our first published novel, in 2006, and met with stellar reviews, including five stars at TwoLips and a top pick at Night Owl Reviews. That e-pub house went belly up the following year, and we were thrilled when Extasy agreed to re-release the book after we got our rights back, in 2009.

It’s taken us a while to cave in to Aria, but she convinced us Amber Heath and Jeff Conway have a story worth telling. Here’s cover, blurb and an excerpt for you.

EXCERPT

“You want me to go away with you, like Jamie and Ryan did.”

“I’m offering you that opportunity. I believe a change of environment and time may prove very healthy for you, but only you can choose.”

“What about Frank?”

“For now, he won’t even know you’re gone. Let me explain, little one. If you agree to travel with me to another time and reality, there is no comparable time lapse in this time.” She arched an eyebrow. “Besides, I thought your boyfriend wasn’t coming back tonight. He’s saving you for breakfast.”

“Fat chance of that happening.” Amber fought the bile rising in her throat at the thought of where Frank might be at the moment. She sat up straighter. “How long do I have to decide?”

Aria shrugged a shoulder. “Until your boyfriend gets back, I suppose.”

“You don’t call him by name.”

“He doesn’t deserve to be called by name.”

Amber winced.

“All the decisions are yours, Amber. But if you ask me a question, I will not lie to you.” Aria squeezed Amber’s knee. “And if you’re wondering if I’m here to help you and your boyfriend like I did with your aunt and uncle, let me be very clear. I am not. I only help people who want to change, or at least have some hope of changing. Your current boyfriend is beyond hope. If you want me to help you fix things up with him, I will leave right now. I’d never consider letting vermin like that touch me.”

“I see.” Dejected, Amber studied her toes. “But is that the same as making a decision for me—rejecting Frank?”

Aria shook her head. “If you decide you want to travel with me for awhile to experience new possibilities, and when we’re finished you still want to come back to this man, then that is your choice. I won’t and can’t stop that from happening.”

Hump Day Hook ~ More from Summer’s End #HDH #menage

Coming to Extasy Books April 15! Here’s another teaser to tempt you from Summer’s End, Book Eleven in our Swinging Games series.

BLURB

The best summer ever has to end sometime. Jen and Brett Andrews have reveled in their erotic threesome with summer housemate Sarah Creston—but it’s August, and she’ll have to leave.

How do they react? For starters, they branch out to a new sizzling encounter with a Latino couple who’ve been flirting with them on the lifestyle website. Adding is so much better than subtraction.

Sarah wastes no time, either. Worried about Ryan after his heart attack, she arranges a private threesome with him and Donna to ease him back into the play scene, then makes her own moves to line up possible future playmates.

As a finale, Jen and Brett stage a house party to die for.

EXCERPT

Thursday morning, Sarah sat at the Andrews’ kitchen table trying not to fidget. She glanced at Brett and Jen sipping their after breakfast coffee and winced. They’d had such lovely playtimes during the last few days and nights—she hoped what she was about to say wouldn’t spoil everything. But she’d made her decision. She had to do this her way. She hoped her hosts would understand, especially Jen.

“You look quite pensive this morning,” Jen said, peering over the rim of her coffee cup. “Did we overdo it last night?”

Sarah shook her head.

Jen grinned. “We did have you bent in a pretzel toward the end. You’ve become quite fond of double penetration.” She paused briefly. “Maybe this afternoon or tonight, you and Brett can do that, with me as the beneficiary.”

Brett cleared his throat, interrupting his wife’s chatter. “So what’s bothering you, Sarah? You’re not usually this quiet. Is it about having to go back home in a few days, or is it more than that?”

Sarah heaved a sigh. “More. I’m worried about Ryan.”

“What?” Jen asked. “I thought he was fine. I just called Donna while I was making breakfast. It sounded like Ryan has made a full recovery. Donna was joking about the party and how much Ryan is looking forward to it.” Jen winked. “And to finally having some time with you.”

“That’s just it. I don’t want to overdo it with him. He’s just recovered from surgery. What if…”

“Oh, my.” Jen covered her mouth. “I never thought about that. He has his doctor’s approval to resume sexual activities, and Donna let me know they tested things out last night. He’s good to go.”

“But…I need to be sure.” Sarah felt herself flush. “I don’t want him to get overly excited and over exerted. He’s been so looking forward to doing me all summer long. I don’t want him to get too worked up. I’m not comfortable playing with him for the first time with everyone watching. We need to go very slowly. I need to be certain he’s okay, or I’ll never open up for him. And after all that’s happened this summer, I don’t want Ryan to think I don’t want him.”

Hump Day Hook ~ Summer’s End #HDH #Menage

Welcome to Hump Day Hook, where authors tantalize you with brief excerpts every Wednesday!

Today we thought we’d tantalize you with an excerpt from our upcoming release! Summer’s End is Book Eleven in our Swinging Games series, due out April 15 from Extasy Books.

EXCERPT

Trying not to smile at the all-too-familiar awkward moment, Jennifer Andrews blew her husband a kiss and swiveled her chair so she could give Angelica Santiago what she hoped was one of her best seductive smiles. The wiry Latina and her husband, Rico, had been fun dinner companions, with conversation ranging from kids, to careers, to experiences with swinging. Now the four of them sat in Jen and Brett’s hotel suite, waiting for someone to make the next move.

The couple had proven to be as intriguing as Jen and Brett hoped. Angelica, a former thoroughbred jockey, was now an assistant trainer. Rico, who had trained horses early on, now primarily worked as a bloodstock agent, helping match up sellers and buyers for no doubt a handsome fee. Rico, like his wife, was in his mid-fifties. He had a cute, small mustache and salt-and-pepper hair. Jen couldn’t decide which of the two she like the most. Both laughed easily and seemed quite comfortable with each other—and, apparently, with the progression of the evening.

Jen caught each of them lustfully eyeing her long legs, which she’d purposefully showed off by wearing white thigh-highs with a black mini. Had either of them caught a glimpse of her bare pussy? Brett had encouraged her to go commando. It always thrilled him to know that his wife, sitting beside him at a restaurant looking like a fairly typical soccer mom or grandmother, was bare and ready for play. On more than one occasion when they’d met a couple who bored them to tears, his hand would squeeze her thigh, letting her know they’d have a good time as soon as they could make their excuses and ditch the bland couple across from them.

But not tonight. No, they both were eager to take things to the next level with Angelica and Rico.

Hump Day Hook: Meghan, Ménage and a Happy Ending #HDH

Welcome to Hump Day Hook, where authors tantalize you with brief excerpts every Wednesday! Please click HERE if you’re looking for the Spring is in the Air BlogHop.

Meg’s Folly

Meghan’s Playhouse, Book Five

Our last four Hump Day Hooks have focused on the first four books in our Meghan’s Playhouse series. In case you forgot, Meg Keenan is a sprite of a woman who takes on Aphrodite’s role of bringing other couples together, up close and personal. As we got to know her through the series, we began to wonder if she’d ever have a happy ending of her own—and if so, just what it might look like!

We’re not giving away any secrets today, but here’s the blurb and an excerpt, with a little hint of an upcoming four-way ménage…

BLURB

When Meghan Keenan’s old flame Josh Hendricks unexpectedly shows up at the Summer Shakespeare Festival where she has a leading role, Meg has a brilliant inspiration: he’ll be perfect for Camila, the hot Latina who currently shares Meg’s bed. If Meg’s scheme works, she can continue to enjoy sexy escapades with both of them.

Josh has a different idea. He’s come to the Festival with one goal in mind: to marry Meg. Will Camila buy into the plan and help him spark Meg’s jealousy? Can Josh escape this tempting triangle unscathed? And if he does, can he claim his would-be bride before she flees in panic?

EXCERPT

My apologies for a longer-than-usual excerpt—since Meg’s bisexual, this seemed like an appropriate excerpt, given the historic hearings taking place in the U.S. Supreme Court this week.

Yawning, Meg glanced at the living room clock. It was well past midnight, hardly a late night for theater folks, but she knew Josh must still be on Eastern Time. They’d dissected his play about every which way possible. With his long legs crossed at the ankles, he slouched in the easy chair sitting across from the couch where she and Camila sat.

“What are you working on now?” Camila asked. “Or are you one of those superstitious writers who won’t talk about a work in progress?”

Meg knew Josh wouldn’t hesitate to talk about current work. Josh reveled in carrying on about writing—his own or others. Meg squeezed Camila’s fingers. She was pleased with how the girl responded to Josh’s presence. For his part, Josh engaged easily with both of them. She’d noticed his arousal pressing against his trousers several times. It felt as if she and Josh hadn’t been separated for so many months.

Josh smiled and shrugged. “I often bounce ideas off of people who appreciate the ins and outs of telling stories. I’m sort of between things right now. Of course, as you know, a writer has lots of plots floating at the same time. I’m considering a play that’s been percolating the last several months about the struggles bisexuals confront, not quite fitting in any world except their own.”

“That has a familiar personal ring,” Camila admitted. “Straights and gays think I’m either just playing around or can’t decide.”

Meg’s response was quick. “I haven’t felt particularly at sea because of my sexual orientation.”

Josh’s grin split his face. “Why would you? You’ve created your own network of like minded people.” Josh winked at Camila. “You must know that our Meg’s favorite role is that of matchmaker.”

“I’ve noticed.” Camila nibbled on Meg’s right ear. “She’s already failed with me.”

“Really?”

Meg glowered at Josh.

“Philip.”

“That rather uneasy fellow I met at the theater?”

Camila arched an eyebrow at Meg. “I didn’t see Philip tonight.”

“He was there.” Meg brushed a hand along Camila’s thigh. She’d been inching her short skirt higher for the past twenty minutes. From Josh’s look he must have a superior view of Camila’s satin v-string and the outlines of the treasure it barely concealed. “I told him we’ll be rather busy the next few days. He’ll be gone most of the week. I’ll take care of Philip. He’s been a good friend this summer.” Meg stuck her tongue out at Camila. “Who knows, if Josh sticks around long enough we may want a fourth.”

Camila’s eyes rounded as she shuddered. “Double the fun.”

“Or trouble,” Josh countered.

Hump Day Hook ~ Vegas Gambler #HDH #menage

Welcome to Hump Day Hook! Click HERE if you’re looking for the Spring is in the Air BlogHop.

Sometimes I think Vegas Gambler (Book Four) is my favorite in our Meghan’s Playhouse series. Maybe it’s because we’ve been staying in Las Vegas these last few weeks, or maybe it’s because I love how the theme of gaming and gambling underlies the entire plot, including the relationships as they shift and change. Hope you like it!

Just when Meg thinks she’ll heat up Tia and Tony’s relationship, Tia turns the tables to hook Meg up with Tony—but the real winner is the Vegas Gambler, Jack Hawthorne.

Romance Junkies 4.5 blue ribbons
an extremely sensual erotic romance.

BLURB

Fresh with success from a recent stint in a musical on the Las Vegas Strip, Meghan Keenan takes some time off to play with her current flame, Jack Hawthorne, professional poker player. She’s delighted to add her petite masseuse Tia Minh to the mix and even more thrilled when she learns Tia’s relationship with her boyfriend Tony Sanders is on the skids. It’s the perfect challenge! Tia has different ideas – she thinks Tony would be perfect for Meg, and she conspires to throw them together any way she can. Ever the gambler, Jack catches onto her game quickly and keeps the ruse going behind Meg’s back. Who knew his heart was up for grabs?

EXCERPT

“Jesus,” Jack grumbled, “she’s tiny.”

“Don’t worry,” Meg chuckled. “You’ll fit. She’s handled my strap-on easily enough. Let me help you.”

Tia blinked her eyes open to see the back of Meg’s head as she guided Jack’s shaft to her throbbing mound. Tia couldn’t contain a moan when the head of Jack’s cock penetrated her opening.

Meg turned to beam a smile at her. “He’s as good with his cock as he is with his tongue. Trust me.”

“You okay?” Jack asked, holding steady as he knelt between her thighs.

She nodded. “Don’t hold back on my account.” She rotated her pelvis to emphasize her point.

“Damn,” Jack said, looking down at their joining. “Here goes.”

Tia wanted to cry. She doubted any man had ever been so careful with her. But did he have any idea that by being so slow he was torturing her? She swallowed hard as he inched inward until he was buried in her depths. She smiled at his surprise. Was it her capacity to take all of him? Or maybe it was the heat of her inner core.

Becoming quite alert, Tia slid a hand between Meg’s thighs, parting them as she went. “Thanks for sharing him with me.”

Spring is in the Air

Really? You want me to believe that? Here are pics our next door neighbor took barely a week ago – the first looks across her front door to our house in the background, the second is the back yard…

Hard to imagine spring is gonna happen!

And why are posting her pics and not our own? Because we’re far away in sunny Las Vegas, where we’ve spent most of the winter. Spring is arriving here, too – the fruit trees just began to blossom a few days back, temps are (finally) seventy or better in the daytime, and it’s warm enough to catch some sun by the pool. Not quite as dramatic as the Iowa spring will be when it finally arrives, but I’m not complaining.

I do love spring, actually, so I like a climate where there’s at least a little change of season, a chance to taste and feel the freshness of new growth, new green, and spring blossoms. Maybe that’s why another of my favorite spots to visit is New York’s Brooklyn Botanical Gardens in the springtime. Hubs and I liked it so much we wrote it into Smoldering Passion.

Smoldering PassionBLURB

Work for a sex institute? Anything for her art! With her graduate stipend running out, budding artist Melissa Hopkins applies for a job where her aunt used to work – at a New York center that studies sexuality and creates educational sex videos.

Sworn off women after a disastrous relationship, Center Director Harry Gage ignores the danger signals and hires the striking young woman who reminds him of his former lover. Her air of innocence will captivate center viewers, so he’s sure she’ll be a hit on camera. What he’s not prepared for is how she pierces his heart.

When the sparks ignite, is it love or just sex – and what must each of them risk to find out?

EXCERPT

Melissa stood and rotated her shoulders. She had to get out of her apartment. It was a beautiful day and she didn’t want to spend it all inside.

She grabbed her keys and some cash and headed down the stairs to street level. She walked briskly, suddenly knowing where she wanted to be.

Shortly, she turned in at the entrance to the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens and slowed her pace, pausing to watch the ducks in the Japanese water garden. This was space for relaxing—for breathing deeply, soaking in colors and breezes and scents. The riot of spring bloom was long gone and summer was at its peak. She headed for the Shakespeare Garden and was relieved to find a shady bench empty in a secluded corner. Daisies, Black-eyed Susans and Daylilies formed a casual cluster in yellow, white and orange beside the bench. Further off some taller mauve blooms she couldn’t name were full of butterflies, and a curly-headed toddler ran up to them laughing gleefully. The child’s parents stood nearby, holding hands, happy, as if they had no care in the world.

Melissa shook off a wave of loneliness. She waited till the family left and headed across the broad open meadow towards the rock garden, stopping to watch more children playing tag and hiding behind shrubs and bushes. An artist had set up his easel next to a large tall tree that had one out-of-place low slung branch reaching several yards straight out, parallel to the ground. She could easily imagine relaxing under the protective boughs, but knew better than to disturb his scene or ask what he was seeing.

The hairs on the back of her neck prickled. She stopped and turned around. Nothing seemed out of place—the children were still running with abandon, lovers walked hand-in-hand stopping for brief kisses—there: a man stood on a distant knoll watching where she stood. A hat pulled low on his head served almost as a mask.

She cocked her head to the side. Harry? She jogged toward the small hill. The man turned and scurried over the rise. When she crested it there was nothing but trees and bushes and flowers. Not a single person was in the little glade.

Harry was really getting to her. Now, she was seeing him where she knew he never would be. She laughed freely and headed back to her apartment. She doubted Harry ever left Manhattan.

I do believe in being lucky in love in real life – I think it has happened to me. Of course, it’s never all just luck – I’d like a little credit for choosing well when we first got started! But experience in my first marriage (yes, hubs and I were both married and divorced before we met) taught me that just because two persons are compatible at one point in time doesn’t necessarily mean they will continue to grow in directions that bring them together.

So that’s where the luck comes in, at least a little. There’s work involved, too. Hubs and I have been married over thirty years. I never dreamed when our relationship began that we’d develop a career of co-writing erotic stories and seeing them published :). Where did that come from? Was it luck? Was it staying open to each other, finding new and interesting things to do together, keeping focused on learning and growing, keeping our sex life vibrant and active?

Especially that last one, actually! Anyone over fifty (yes, that’s us, and most of the rest of the baby boomer generation, by now!) knows it’s easy for sexual desire, arousal and activity to slow down in mid-life, what with changing hormones and (in our case) a house full of teenagers. You have to work at it to make sure the inertia doesn’t stop your sex life altogether. One of the options we chose was watching soft porn videos (typically created by women, for women) as part of our foreplay. Not only did that work, very nicely – it prompted us to start thinking about what kinds of plots and situations we’d like to see, what sorts of scenes turned us on the most.

It wasn’t long before we started writing them down – for ourselves, in the beginning, but then we started thinking: if we like these plots and scenes, perhaps we’re not the only ones. We started submitting them, and are thrilled (and yes, probably lucky) to now have twenty-nine erotic romance novels and novellas published, and two more under contract for release later this spring.

So yes, this St. Patrick’s Day weekend, I’m feeling very lucky in love, and happy to be sharing the wealth!

Here’s a peek at one of our baby boomer heroines who also turned out to be very lucky. We created a fictional Center for Sexuality and Sex Practices, based very loosely on some of the resources we turned to in our forties. We’ve turned several characters loose in the setting to see what they’d come up with. Here’s the Blurb and an Excerpt for Ripening Passion:

BLURB

Ripening PassionClaire Johnson’s dedication to sex—the cornerstone of her career—led her to found the Center for Sexuality and Sex Practices. Now in her fifties, she knows the Center must keep pace with the rapidly growing Baby Boomer market, so she agrees to go back on camera for a series on sex and aging. But work with her nemesis?

Former English Professor Max Wilson has championed the cause of the Center ever since his deceased wife sought the Center’s help to rekindle the nearly extinguished sexual flames of their relationship. He loves working on camera and welcomes the challenge to perform with the svelte but feisty temptress.

Sparks fly immediately on and off camera. Can either Claire or Max transform those sparks into a fire of sexual desire for their viewers? And if they succeed, what will happen when the movie’s over?

EXCERPT

“Don’t stare, but take a peek at the young couple at about two-o’clock braced against the tree making out. They do seem to enjoy kissing.”

Max looked, then nibbled Claire’s ear. “Who’s staring? You do have radar for lovers.”

“Cripes, she’s riding his knee. Oh my, a girl after my own heart. Max, she’s hanging onto his shoulder for dear life, but she’s not surrendering her perch on his thigh for anything.

“He’s looking around. Oops, I think he caught me watching. Ah.” Claire sighed. “She stopped, now they’re kissing wildly again.” Claire squeezed his fingers on her breast. “That girl had a damn good ride. Oh, to be young lovers again.”

“Being old lovers isn’t bad.” Max dipped his fingers under the fabric covering her breast.

“If that couple were to look across the way at us, they’d never guess I’m sitting here with my man caressing my nipple. And,” she turned and kissed his cheek, “that I’m wet as hell.”

“You could probably hump my knee and they wouldn’t even notice because they don’t expect it. That’s one advantage with age. People don’t expect us to be horny, or do outrageous things.”

“So true. And there’s something quite gratifying about defying their limited expectations. Perhaps we should go over and share our wisdom with the youngsters.”

Max shook his head. “I doubt they’d listen.
